Prof Bushra Ateeq, assistant professor in the department of Biological Sciences and Bioengineering at IIT Kanpur has been selected for the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and technology, 2020 in the field of Medical Sciences.
IIT Kanpur director, Prof Abhay Karandikar congratulated Dr Bushra. “It gives great pleasure to IIT-K that Dr Bushra Ateeq has been chosen for the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science & Technology 2020 in the category of Medical Sciences. You have made us proud”, said karandikar.
Prof Bushra, who joined IIT-Kanpur in 2013, has been doing research in the field of oncology. The award is named after the founder Director of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) India, the late Dr Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar and is given each year for outstanding contributions in Science and technology.
